Bryan Carr, Director of Shannon Star Entertainments LTD is a talented professional singer and production manager who has the musical talent and organisational skills to make your event come alive.

Bryan commenced his musical studies with Audrey O’Carroll at the Kerry School of Music and after receiving a Vocal Bursary at the Rose of Tralee in 1993 he continued his studies under Dr. Veronica Dunne at the Leinster School of Music where he performed several roles including Figaro in ‘The Marriage of Figaro’,Hobson in ‘Peter Grimes’, Jones in Kurt Weill’s ‘Street Scene’, Papageno in ‘The Magic Flute’ and Don Giovanni in Mozarts ‘Don Giovanni’ alongside Tralee Soprano’s Miriam Murphy, Kay Lynch and Irish Tenor’s Ronan Tynan and Anthony Kearns.

Bryan performed with Opera Ireland and The National Chamber Choir both at the National Concert Hall and Gaiety Theatre in such Opera’s as Bizet’s ‘Carmen’, Donizetti’s ‘L’elisir d’amore’, Verdi’s Macbeth, ‘La Traviata’, Puccini’s ‘La Boheme’ and Jim Sheridans ‘Aida’. He has appeared on numerous Television programs including soloist on The Late Late Show, Nationwide for RTE and as principal soloist with The Platin Orchestra for NDR and WDR Germany.

He has performed the part of ‘Daigh’ in the Irish Dance Musical ‘To Dance on the Moon’ over five hundred times on such prestigious stages as Belfast Waterfront Hall, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Son Ya San Memorial Hall Taiwan and Star City Sydney.

Bryan was Company and Production Manager with North Kerry Arts from 2000 until 2006 and in 2002 developed, directed and toured his own production ‘Legend of the Knight’ in Taiwan during 2002 http://www.celticcafe.com/archive/Shows/LotK/index.htm and again in 2006 and has coordinated in excess of thirty world tours, annual residency performances and corporate events. He was Project Manager on the new 530 seat Tinteán Theatre, Arts and Cultural Centre in Ballybunion www.tintean.com .Bryan’s role in the project was divided over a range of sectors, which included grant application and grant draw down, pricing and fit-out of the entire Theatre including all technical aspects. He managed the programming and initial launch of the venue in his capacity as interim Theatre Manager. Bryan finished out his time with the Company as Event coordinator for the inaugural World Fleadh Festival www.theworldfleadh.com .

Bryan is Event Coordinator for the Rose of Tralee International Festival since 2007 and ‘Tralee on Ice’ also since 2007 as well as Production Manager for ‘Peter Pan’ at the INEC Killarney in December 2007. He is also a FETAC tutor for a Performing Arts - Theatre Production course and most recently the Event Coordinator for Ballyseedy Home and Outdoor Living in Tralee. He rusn two successful Stage Schools in Tralee and Ballybunion.
